Before you plan

Which holiday calendar does this page cover?

Papua New Guinea nationwide public holidays published in Circular Instruction 22 of 2026. Circular Instruction 22 of 2026, dated September 25, publishes these 12 nationwide holidays and cites National Gazette No. 820 of August 14, 2026. The externally hosted PDF is linked from DPM's official downloads index.

Are any dates or entitlements still unconfirmed?

King's Birthday is explicitly published as Thursday, June 17, 2027. It is not estimated from a recurring weekday rule. The circular's separate days of observance are not public holidays and are excluded. No extra Christmas or Boxing Day substitute dates have been added. Check your employer's schedule before planning leave.

Does this change the current leave planner?

No. This is a separate 2027 reference calendar. The existing holiday guides, countdowns, and leave planners remain on their current-year data. Do not use a 2026 leave plan for a 2027 date.
