Sources and methodology
About the data
SanaHolidayNaUlit is a holiday reference for OFWs, built for fast countdowns, holiday lookup, and long-weekend planning in Singapore.
Where dates come from
Holiday dates for Singapore are based on official government sources (Ministry of Manpower). Data is updated when new proclamations or official announcements are published.
Islamic holidays (Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, etc.) are based on estimated dates and may shift depending on moon sighting. These are marked with a "TBA" status until officially confirmed.
Timezone handling
Dates and countdowns are interpreted in Asia/Singapore (+08:00). Holiday dates are civil dates in Singapore, so a holiday starts at 00:00 local time even if a visitor is viewing the site from another timezone.
Work week
Long weekend calculations for Singapore use a Saturday-Sunday weekend. This affects which holidays create natural long weekends and which suggest filing a leave day to bridge a gap.
Holiday labels
Status labels describe whether a date is official, pending, or still to be announced.
